Less Is More

The great thing about climate science is you can say almost anything is linked to climate change. Any scientific theory should be capable of falsifying, that is of proving wrong, but climate change just evolves to "predict" what is already happening.

From Andrew Bolt:

The warmists say a snow-covered US is just what you’d expect in warming world:

CLIMATE change makes the planet warmer and snowstorms stronger and more frequent, US scientists say.

“Heavy snowstorms are not inconsistent with a warming planet,” said scientist Jeff Masters today, as part of a conference call with reporters and colleagues convened by the Union of Concern Scientists.

“In fact, as the Earth gets warmer and more moisture gets absorbed into the atmosphere, we are steadily loading the dice in favour of more extreme storms in all seasons, capable of causing greater impacts on society.”

But here’s the odd thing. When Australia was in drought, the CSIRO claimed a warming world meant less snow:

A 2003 CSIRO report, part-funded by the ski industry, found that the resorts could lose a quarter of their snow in 15 years, and half by 2050. The worst case was a 96 per cent loss of snow by mid-century.

And the notorious Climatic Research Unit, of Climagegate fame, in 2000 also predicted less snow:

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

”Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.
