I've had a very interesting day today, including leading the opening prayer at our council.
I found time this afternoon to take some photos. The first two I took last week but haven't had time to do anything with them. We've had a family of ducks coming up from the creek each morning to check out our bugs. I believe that ducks are very antagonistic to snakes, so I'm happy to have them visit :thumb:
This afternoon my walk took me around past Cargill's and over the railway crossing. I love that little creek that runs down there. Even though willow trees are a no-no here, they are still very pretty trees.
My last photo deserves a post all of its own.
Such sweet little ducks! I love willow trees too. My kids had a tree house in one at my parents cottage on Lake Huron. Many great memories!

They are considered a pest here as their roots destroy the river banks. We used to have some great ones along the river but they were cleared by the council, in favour of natives. I support the policy, but the trees always make you feel refreshed when you see them so it's sad to see them go.
