Open Season on Humans

Spring is a busy time in nature. Birds are busy mating, laying eggs and defending their young.

Magpies and plovers are two birds which are mostly harmless- except this time of the year. Plovers can be very aggressive in coastal areas, but not so much inland- my theory is that they prefer to breed near water. Well this year there seems to be lots of water around Narrabri, certainly enough to stir up a colony of 4 birds to swoop people walking along the Kamilaroi Highway just out of town.

I've marked my encounters on this map and I welcome other victims to mark the hotspots where they have been attacked.
