Yarrie Lake Picnic

Yesterday my cell group had a picnic at Yarrie Lake a small natural lake 20 km from Narrabri. The lake is only a kilometre or so across and it has a very small catchment area which means that it gets very shallow in dry periods. Because of our wet summer, though, it is about as high as it ever gets and the water skiers were out in force enjoying the warm weather and the water.

The floor of the lake is a light clay and that gives the water a milky appearance and texture.

The cell group has 10 members, but yesterday we had a total of 31 people altogether- a very successful outreach.
