I don't know if our Prime Minister has any concept of truth at all.

First she denies that she had any discussions at all with Bob Carr, then she claims it's all off and now today he's in the Senate and appointed as Foreign Minister.

I try to be respectful of our national leaders, but Julia "there will be no carbon tax under the Government I lead" Gillard continues to set new lows for lying and incompetence.

And of course Bob Carr is no better, having declared he had no interest in the position.

I am just disgusted at the lack of basic ethics.

In a shock development, former New South Wales premier Bob Carr will take the coveted job of Foreign Affairs Minister in Julia Gillard's new-look frontbench, despite earlier this week saying he was not pursuing the job.

At the end of a turbulent week in federal politics, the Prime Minister announced the reshuffle, appearing at a Canberra press conference with Mr Carr by her side.
