The Great Tree Kill

One of the features of our home for many years is a beautiful elm tree which shades a western corner of our house.

Unfortunately it drops millions of leaves in autumn along with sticky resin. It overhangs our roof so many leaves clop up our gutters. It also overhangs our solar panels causing shadows in the afternoon and depleting our electrical production.

All of the preceding should have been written in the past tense, because today the tree was conquered, surprsingly quickly as it turned out. We had many helpers in this project.
