I've blogged several times now about this journey of prayer I have been on over the last few months (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5).
The last few days we have had lots of rain- about 125 mm. There hasn't been flooding in Narrabri, but in some parts of the country there has been record rainfall and record flooding.
The first part of the assignment is complete (for now)- contending for the physical rain. It is likely that in a few months or in a year or two or some further time in the future, I will be again calling out for God to let it rain.
But now my focus changes to the rain of God's Spirit, a general outpouring of grace that returns the church to the power and love and holiness of the early church- complete with signs and wonders and constant growth in salvation.
So Lord, send the rain! Let it rain in Narrabri, the power of your Spirit poured out on "all flesh." Amen!
