Last year the Gillard Govenment passed the second most pages of legislation in the history of the Commonwealth.

And there are over 100,000 pages of Federal legislation currently in effect.
Is bigger Government a good thing or a bad thing?
I don't know, but I had to spend this afternoon filling in a form and getting documentation about the church for a brand new Government body The National Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission. Doubtless, annual reports will be required when they get their act together. What will we get from that extra bureaucratic body? Nothing, except if we don't comply some present tax exemptions will be lost.
And I represent just one little group. This must be a big burden to the bigger charities, denominations and the thousands of non-profits in the country.
