Missional By Nature

Every second Thursday evening, more or less, we have our Leaders' Cell. We gather our intrepid cell group leaders at the church and have dinner together and then a short time of sharing how the groups are going, some encouragement or teaching from me and a prayer time.

This morning Margaret said to me, "I will have to cook something separate for Cooper." Cooper is a friend of Alex,is 8 years old and is on a special diet. Alex's parents mind him for part of Thursday afternoons while his mother shops and does some other things. Cooper lives way out of town, about an hour's drive.

So, even though they are not a part of our church or any church for that matter, Cooper and his mum are regular attenders at our Leaders' Cell.

I think they like the community, the love and acceptance that they experience here. Maybe one day they will also experience Jesus.

In the meantime, we have a Leaders' Cell that is missional at its heart. That's not the way I would do it, but God rarely does things the way I would choose.
