Every year Peace Apostolic Ministries hosts the Apostolic Summit, three days of solid teaching, worship and friendship.
This year the main speaker was Kenn Gill from Calgary Canada. Kenn is a man with a big heart for the church.
I was a part of a team that visited Calgary back in 2010. I was surprised that he remembered me. He also kept on telling me of messages he was receiving from Canada to say "Hello' to Keith.
John Alley shared the speaking role but most of the sessions were led by Kenn.
The worship was very inspiring, as always.
I shared accommodation with Tony Rae from Wamberal. We were hosted in a literal bush hideaway by Alistair and Rhonda Melzer. The Melzers live about 25 km out of Rockhampton in the locality of Cawarral. Alistair and Rhonda are both ecologists- Alistair a consultant and Rhonda working for the Queensland Parks and Wildlife. Their property is a conservation reserve, and needs a four wheel drive to get in.
Their housing is designed to blend in with the environment. Solar panels provide electricity and the toilet is a composting toilet- a fancy name for the long drop dunny. We had a lot of fun with this couple and their co-residents.
These leaf balls are everywhere. Green ants pull leaves together- dozens of the creatures working in concert to multiply strength- and then glue them together.
