Instead of focusing on “leadership development,” we should be focusing on Christ and Christ alone as our model, and Christlikeness as the core identity of every Christian—yes, including Christian pastors. The role of the pastor, then, is to mentor people into Christlikeness. Scot and Laura McKnight
