The most common New Testament term for worship is proskuneo, a combination of two Greek words that taken together mean “to kiss toward.” Used more than 50 times in Scripture, proskuneo is a lavishing of affection. Terry Law

The most notable characteristic of all these verbs for praise is that they are words of sound. Biblical praise is always audible and public, and in my experience, often excited. Terry Law

Perfect weather for riding this morning.
There can be no relationship with God without praise. Terry Law

Scripture
“You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”
Observation
After the announcement by the angel that she will conceive a baby by the agency of the Holy Spirit, Marry goes to visit her cousin Elizabeth. Elizabeth has had her own miracle, becoming pregnant with John the Baptist, despite being past child- bearing age.
At the sound of Mary’s voice, the baby in Elizabeth leaps for joy. Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit and tells Mary that she and her baby are blessed because she believed that the Lord would do what He has said.
Application
Blessings come tot hose who believe that the Lord will do what He has said. This is called faith.
We do not all have angels coming to announce life- changing, even world- changing, miracles. We do have the promises of God recorded in the Bible.
Faith means that we believe what God has said, and we trust that it will be done.
The first requirement, then, is that we know what God’s word actually says. We need to read the Bible, obey the commands of the Lord, and trust Him to keep His promises.
When we can find a scripture that backs up our prayer request, then we can know that God will certainly answer our prayer. This gives us faith to pray more confidently, knowing that God keeps His promises.
Prayer
Lord, you are a promise keeping God. Have you not said it and therefore you will do it? Thank you for the confidence this gives us to approach your throne with the desires of our hearts. Amen.
I went to an exhibition yesterday for the Narrabri Special Activation Precinct.
Apart from a couple of maps, it wasn’t much of an exhibition. That’s because the plan is at a very early stage as yet.
Basically, the plan is for the State Government to build up an industrial area on the Yarrie Lake Road, just out of town. Building on the already established plans for the Inland Rail project, the Northern NSW Inland Port and the Narrabri Gas Project, the Special Activation Precinct is aiming to attract businesses that could see potential in setting up industrial capacity in the area. We already have heard that there is a proposal for a fertiliser factory utilising the gas there.
Narrabri is well located as a midway point between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane so there is great potential there, especially with the rail link.
Governments are generally not very good at picking winners in business, but this project seems to be aimed at letting people know of opportunities and encouraging investment by business at both the national and global levels.
There are also Special Activation Projects at Moree (Agriculture), Parkes (Transport), and several other regional centres.
Loved my ride this morning. I am still not 100% but I have enough energy to get out and about.

Thanksgiving, therefore, triggers faith for the miracle-working power of God. Terry Law
