A close reading of the New Testament ought to make it clear that a member of the body of Christ cannot be owned by Satan or demons. The body of Christ, the church, has been “obtained with his own blood” (Acts 20:28). The Spirit (Rom 8:9–11, 16–17) and Christ (Col 1:27) dwell within those who believe. Michael Heiser
