ELAH VALLEY — A young boy named David has found himself under intense scrutiny and condemnation for his alleged violence against a kindly Palestinian giant named Goliath. Those critical of the young boy’s action call this yet another tragic case of disproportionate force and cultural insensitivity.

“It’s a clear case of bigotry and attempted genocide,” declared activist Ehud as they held a candlelight vigil for Goliath outside the battlefield. “David had the audacity to use a slingshot against a giant armed only with his faith and a kind soul. David’s actions are nothing short of barbaric.”

Critics of David’s actions argue that he should have pursued more peaceful methods of conflict resolution, such as dialogue or complete and utter surrender. “There were plenty of opportunities for mediation, conflict de-escalation, and letting the Philistines slaughter every Israelite” insisted local man Gehazi. “Instead, David chose violence, perpetuating harmful stereotypes about giants being inherently aggressive.”

Schools across the world saw protests break out as students condemned David and called for the destruction of Israel. “David needs to be held accountable for how his actions have negatively impacted this gentle, peace-loving community of Philistines,” said Ehud. “Though a person of size, we must acknowledge Goliath’s lived experience as a marginalized individual. Also, we need to destroy Israel.”

Meanwhile, David has reportedly gone into hiding, fearing for his safety amidst the wave of backlash. “I was just defending my family and my sheep,” he mumbled nervously, adjusting his slingshot. “Does no one get that they were going to kill the men and rape the women? No one?”

At publishing time, Goliath’s descendants have reportedly hired a team of lawyers to explore their legal options demanding reparations, including modest terms like “Destroy Israel”.

Unbelievable

First you make a disease, then you make a vaccine for the disease, then a vaccine for the side-effects of the vaccine.

Moderna Unveils mRNA Vaccines to Treat Side Effects of Covid Shots

It’s like a Babylon Bee headline but it’s real.

“They also question whether Moderna is attempting to profit from solutions for diseases its products are causing”

Ya think? But the article has all kinds of important information in there. The applications they are developing are insane: like every disease you’ve ever heard of like EBV and HPV and AIDS and Zika that they’re going to give to “prevent” (but really cause.) And when it fails and makes you sick, too bad. But the population is now full of new customers!

Moderna Unveils mRNA Vaccines to Treat Side Effects of Covid Shots

By: Hunter Fielding, News Addicts, April 3, 2024:

Moderna has just unveiled new mRNA vaccines that the pharmaceutical giant has developed to treat the deadly side effects of Covid shots.

During its Vaccines Day Event for investors on March 28, Moderna announced progress on multiple mRNA-based vaccines and therapeutic candidates in its “pipeline.”

Three vaccines targeting Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), Varicella-zoster virus (VZV, chickenpox and shingles) and Norovirus are advancing to “pivotal late-stage development,” the company said.

Moderna also announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is expected to approve its respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine mRNA-1345 for older adults. This is part of an expected $52 billion market for Moderna’s infectious disease vaccines.

“We continue to explore the application of mRNA in the potential treatment of cardiovascular and other ischemic vascular diseases,” Moderna’s website states in its product plans for therapeutic areas.

The company also is developing mRNA solutions for cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Citing the well-documented and often serious adverse reactions to the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, some scientists and doctors said they are concerned about the dangers of existing and new mRNA formulations.

They also question whether Moderna is attempting to profit from solutions for diseases its products are causing.

Blocking the ‘foot soldiers of the immune system’

Synthetic-modified RNA (modRNA) in the cells suppresses innate immunity that keeps latent viruses at bay and protects against new infections, according to Brian Hooker, Ph.D., chief scientific officer at Children’s Health Defense.

“One of the mechanisms involves microRNAs that suppress the production of cellular interferon, which is extremely important for attack against viral infections as well as tumor suppression,” Hooker told The Defender.

Hooker pointed to the June 2022 paper by Stephanie Seneff, Ph.D., Dr. Peter McCullough and others that explored innate immune suppression by mRNA vaccines.

Jo Nova: Hertz To Sell One Third of EVs Because Customers Don’t Want Them.

What does this say really about the future of Electrical Vehicles?

From jonova.com

rollercoaster

By Jo Nova

With the western world hurtling into new cars that are more costly, inconvenient, slower to refuel, and prone to burning down carparks and cargo ships, it was only a matter of time before the cracks in the socialist car market started to show.

EV, electric car.

Around the world tonight headlines are sharing the news that Hertz is selling off 20,000 EVs, one third of their fleet, in order to buy some more fossil fuel cars. That can’t be inspiring news for customers thinking of giving up their gas guzzlers. As Oilprice said: Hertz’s Big Move Into EVs Turned Out To Be A Dud.  And as Reuters headlined: Rental giant Hertz dumps EVs, including Teslas, for gas cars.

It was the perfect storm in a bad way. Apparently the customers didn’t want to rent them, and when they did and they scratched them, they cost too much to fix. (Repair costs were twice as high).  Then the bottom fell out of the second-hand market, and to recover the depreciation losses, Hertz would have to raise the prices on a product customers already didn’t want. There was no way this was going to work.

The official dry Hertz announcement politely says that customers want fossil fueled cars and EV’s were too expensive to fix:

“..expenses related to collision and damage, primarily associated with EVs, remained high in the quarter”

“The Company expects to reinvest a portion of the proceeds from the sale of EVs into the purchase of internal combustion engine (“ICE”) vehicles to meet customer demand.”

Back in October 2021 it was all champagne and fireworks

Hertz put in an order for 100,000 EVs which was so exciting it pushed Tesla shares up 9% briefly to “a trillion dollar valuation”. (Two years later Tesla is worth 30% less.) At the time, Hertz expected to get the 100,000 cars by the end of 2022. Luckily for them, this didn’t happen. Instead they only got 50,000 by the end of 2022. This worked out to be about 11% of the Tesla total fleet. So these EV’s are not even very old. No one can say “the new models are better, because these are new models.

Some of the cars are already on the market. Two year old Telsa Model 3 EV’s are going for $22,000 US.

Hertz will book a $250 million dollar loss, and stocks in both Hertz and Tesla fell on the news.

With uncanny timing the Australian Albanese government is about to launch emissions standards we don’t need to coerce people to buy a product they don’t want, in the hope, they say, of changing the weather.

The insanity would be hard to fathom if EV’s weren’t also the ideal tool for spying, data collection, law enforcement, and political control. Benefits that can launch a thousand political careers…

Ex-Psychic’s Message to Fox News: Stop Promoting the Occult

From Charisma

A former psychic who turned to Jesus Christ after repenting of occult practices has issued a warning about a recent Fox News segment featuring a tarot card reading. The ex-psychic, Jenn Nizza, expressed concern that the network may have inadvertently opened their viewers up to demonic activity by airing an act of divination during primetime.

Nizza, who now runs Ex-PsychicSaved.com and has written about her own experiences with tarot cards and the occult, found it “completely alarming” when Fox News host Jesse Watters invited a medium to predict the country’s political future using tarot cards.

“The deception of putting something that seems good out there while pushing a demonic agenda is heartbreaking,” Nizza said to The Christian Post

The medium, Paula Roberts, pulled a tarot card for Trump known as the Five of Cups, which symbolizes a sense of loss. Nizza believes that Roberts is a legitimate psychic who communicates with demons, even if she is unaware of it.

“[Roberts] a real psychic who’s been doing this for a long time and who is serious about what she does,” Nizza says. “A lot of people will say these people are hucksters. That’s just not true. There are hucksters, but this woman is not a huckster. This woman is truly a psychic.”

Nizza explained that the tarot cards themselves do not offer any insight, but the information allegedly channeled through them is inherently demonic. She cited Deuteronomy 18:10-12, which prohibits witchcraft and divination as “detestable” acts that incur God’s judgment on nations.

By airing this segment during primetime, Fox News risked piquing the curiosity of their viewers to dabble in such things, effectively “encouraging people to enter into demonic communication,” said Nizza.

She also maintained that the lighthearted tone of the segment implied that such practices need not be taken seriously, which she warned also is dangerous. Those who think divination and other occult practices are a form of entertainment are being deceived by what she describes as “smoke and mirrors.”

Nizza expressed concern that Americans are especially susceptible to these occult practices due to the current political climate. She warned that this could lead people down a “rabbit hole of destruction” as they search for answers about the future.

“It’s reaching people,” she warns. “Especially in the culture that we live in and the climate that we live in, people [are] wondering what’s going to happen. We have a lot of tension in the nations, and the election is coming up.”

The Fox News segment drew criticism from users on social media, some of whom mocked the network for airing an ominous prediction about Trump, while others echoed Nizza’s concerns about the spiritual dangers of divination.

As Christians, it is crucial that we remain vigilant and discerning when it comes to the spiritual realm. The Bible clearly warns against engaging in occult practices, as they open the door to demonic influence and deception.

Instead of seeking guidance through divination or other occult practices, we should turn to the one true God, who offers us wisdom, protection and guidance through His Word and the Holy Spirit. As the apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 6:12, “For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

As we navigate the challenges of this world, let us put our trust in the Lord and seek His guidance in all things, for He alone is the source of truth and life.

The Twelve Days of Christmas

Selina Maycock explains the significance of the 12 Days of Christmas

You’ll probably know the famous Christmas song already, but do you know when the 12 days of Christmas start -or what the tradition is behind the celebration?

Children have lots of questions at Christmas, including how many reindeer does Santa have – and why do we have a Christmas tree? They may also been wondering about the 12 days of Christmas.

The event, otherwise known as Twelvetide, is a Christian religious celebration that’s based around the Nativity of Jesus. Christians believe that the 12 days signify the amount of time that it took the wise men to travel to Bethlehem for the Epiphany after Jesus was born, when recognised him as the son of God. Keep reading to find out when the 12 days of Christmas start and what each of the gifts are…

When does the 12 days of Christmas start?

The 12 days of Christmas begin on Christmas Day, December 25, and last right through until January 6 – also known as Three Kings’ Day or Epiphany. The period has been celebrated since before the Middle Ages but was updated over time to include prominent figures in Christian history.

Most people know the 12 days of Christmas from the song- and the odd Christmas joke – that lists the different gifts. The first printed appearance of the song was in the English children’s book Mirth With-out Mischief, which was published in 1780 – though some of the lyrics were slightly different. Most historians believe the Christmas Carol started as a memory game.

What are the 12 gifts of the 12 days of Christmas?

  1. One partridge in a pear tree
  2. Two turtle doves
  3. Three French hens
  4. Four calling birds
  5. Five gold rings
  6. Six geese a-laying
  7. Seven swans a-swimming
  8. Eight maids a-milking
  9. Nine ladies dancing
  10. Ten lords a-leaping
  11. Eleven pipers piping
  12. Twelve drummers drumming

But how does the song connect to the origin of the 12 days of Christmas and Christianity? Rumour has it that the ’12 days of Christmas’ song was used by worshippers when Christians were being punished for their religion as a way to discreetly pass on the message of Christianity.

The theory is that each of the gifts symbolise a different aspect of the Christian religion with the partridge in the pear tree representing Jesus and the two turtle doves signifying the Old and New Testament. The three French hens are Faith, Hope and Charity, while the four calling birds are the four gospels. The five golden rings are reportedly the first five books of the Old Testament. The six geese represent the six days of creation. The seven swans are the gifts of the Holy Spirit, while the eight maids are the eight blessings given by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew. The nine ladies dancing are the nine different fruits of the Holy Spirit – the ten lords represent the Ten Commandments, the eleven pipers represent the eleven faithful apostles and finally…the twelve drummers drumming are the twelve points of the doctrine in the Apostle’s Creed.

According to PNC financial services groups’ annual Christmas Prince Index, to buy all of the gifts in the song would set you back over £36,000. Or if you want to be very specific and work out the total cost of all the gifts when you count each repetition of the song – that’s 364 individual items – it would come to a huge £165,188.18 with the latest dollar to pound conversion rates. The most expensive item would be the seven swans at roughly £11,000.

What do each of the 12 days of Christmas mean?

  • Day One (Christmas Day): Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
  • Day Two (Boxing Day or St Stephen’s Day): Remembering the first martyr of Christianity, St Stephen.
  • Day Three: Celebrates St John the Apostle who is the patron saint of love, loyalty, friendships, authors, booksellers, burn victims, poison-victims, art dealers, editors, publishers, scribes, examinations, scholars and theologians. He also wrote the Book of Revelation.
  • Day Four (Feast of the Holy Innocents): The day to remember all the babies killed by King Herod in his attempt to murder baby Jesus.
  • Day Five: Remembers the Archbishop of Canterbury, St Thomas Becket, who was murdered because he challenged the king’s authority over the church.
  • Day Six: Celebrates St Egwin of Worcester who is known as the protector of orphans and the widowed and died in 717.
  • Day Seven (New Year’s Eve): Pope Sylvester I is celebrated on this day as he saw in the beginning of the Christian Roman Empire.
  • Day Eight (New Year’s Day): Celebrates Mary, the mother of Jesus.
  • Day Nine: Honours two important Christians, St Basil the Great and St Gregory Nazianzen from the 4th century.
  • Day Ten (Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus): This day celebrates when Jesus was named in the Jewish Temple.
  • Day Eleven: Celebrates St Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American saint who lived during the 1700s. It also celebrates the Feast of Saint Simeon Stylites, who lived on a small platform on top of a pillar for 37 years to escape unwanted attention.
  • Day Twelve (Epiphany Eve): So called because it’s January 5, the day before Epiphany.

How are the 12 days of Christmas celebrated?

Much like other seasonal traditions, such as giving chocolate eggs at Easter in the UK, the event is celebrated all around the world in many wonderfully different ways.

For example, in Italy on January 6 – one of the most important days of the celebration – markets are set up in cities around the country selling small presents, snacks, fruits and other festive foods.

In Tudor England, when the tradition first started, people would fast for the four weeks leading up to Christmas and then enjoy 12 days of religious celebrations, feasting and entertainment.

New Analysis Reveals 1 in 3 Women Suffer Post-Abortion Depression

From The Daily Declaration:

New Analysis Reveals 1 in 3 Women Suffer Post-Abortion Depression

14 DECEMBER 2023

3.3 MINS

Post-abortion depression is a real phenomenon affecting up to 1 in 3 women who abort, according to a new meta-analysis.

Women who go through with an abortion suffer no lasting mental health problems—according to conventional wisdom, at least.

However, conventional wisdom is on notice following the publication of a bombshell meta-analysis that found 34.5 percent of women experience post-abortion depression globally.

Released in October in the UK-based scientific journal BMC Psychiatry, the meta-analysis reviewed data from 15 different papers representing over 18,000 women across 11 nations.

“[T]he occurrence of post-abortion depression has been observed to be widespread globally,” concluded the Ethiopia-based research team led by Natnael Atnafu Gebeyehu and Kirubel Dagnaw Tegegne.

The team explains that their paper is “the first global meta-analysis of literature on post-abortion depression, to the best of the researchers’ knowledge.”

A Conspiracy of Silence From the Mainstream Media

An internet search of the article’s title—“Global Prevalence of Post-Abortion Depression: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis”—reveals how few mainstream media outlets have bothered to report on the distressing finding.

When addressing this topic at all, outlets such as The New York TimesNBC News, and Time reference older studies that have a far narrower scope in order to prop up the idea that abortion carries no significant mental health risks for the women who have one.

Indeed, the American Psychological Association (APA) promotes the distorted notion that it is not abortion but the denial of an abortion that has the greater mental health impact on pregnant women.

An article on the APA website quotes Debra Mollen, Ph.D., a professor of counseling psychology at Texas Woman’s University, who claims, “It’s important for folks to know that abortion does not cause mental health problems. … What’s harmful are the stigma surrounding abortion, the lack of knowledge about it, and the lack of access.”

How Wealth Affected Post-Abortion Outcomes

However, that is not what was discovered by the team of researchers behind the recent meta-analysis which compiled data on post-abortive women from nations as diverse as Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Turkey.

“Healthcare providers should prioritise the provision of post-abortion counselling, care, and emotional support to women,” the team of six researchers warned.

“Depression is a major public health concern, with women being twice as likely as men to experience depression during their lifetime. Depression is a leading cause of disability worldwide,” they added.

In their discussion, the researchers pointed to prior studies that found prevalence rates of post-abortion depression as high as 82 percent in affluent nations (though the researchers excluded North and South America due to a lack of data) and 74 percent in the developing world.

The meta-analysis demonstrated little variation in mental health outcomes from continent to continent; however, a nation’s wealth did result in different outcomes for women: Post-abortion depression rates were 43 percent in lower-middle income nations, while high income nations saw rates of 25 percent.

“This disparity may be attributed to the low social status of individuals, which can impede access to intangible resources such as security, opportunity, and education, irrespective of their objective income levels when they reside below the societal material standards,” they write.

‘Abortion Goes Against a Woman’s Very Nature’

One of the few outlets to report on the recent meta-analysis was The Washington Stand, which quoted Mary Szoch, director of the Center for Human Dignity at Family Research Council. Szoch explained:

The new meta-analysis revealing that one in three women suffer serious depression after an abortion affirms what we all innately know to be true: Abortion goes against a woman’s very nature. From the moment of her child’s conception onward, a mother’s life will always exist in relationship to her child. That child is, and always will be, a part of her. Science demonstrates this very clearly. A mother’s own DNA is altered by the child she is carrying. A mother’s unborn child literally leaves behind an imprint in her mother’s DNA changing that mother’s DNA to include a part of the child.

As highlighted by Szoch, the meta-analysis underscores the importance of better alternatives for pregnant women than abortion, along with support services for women who are suffering from post-abortion depression.

Help, Support and Hope is Available

The good news is just how many pregnancy support centers there are in the United States offering help and hope to women regardless of what they are facing.

According to The Daily Wire reporter Megan Basham, “82,000 volunteers in nearly 3,000 pro-life centers across the country annually serve roughly two million clients—more than three times the number of abortions procured.”

She adds, “In 2019, before there was any serious inkling that Roe might be overturned, pro-life centers provided $270 million worth of services and goods to at-risk women, including medical care, education, and baby items like diapers, car seats, and clothing.”

That’s not to mention the support available to women who are suffering from post-abortion depression.

As the recently released short film I’ll Speak For You affirms, “There is hope, you just have to know where to find it.”

Creation Or Evolution

I have been thinking this week about two stories of how we arrived in the world. The first theory is evolution, which says that we are just a product of random chemical reactions over a very long period of time. The second story is that of creation as described in the very first chapter of Genesis.

This is not the place to say whether one of these stories is factually correct, or whether we can blend the two together in some way. I do want to consider some of the ramifications of these stories and the results of believing one or the other.

As we read the familiar words of Genesis 1, we discover that God is greater than the world, the sun and moon, the stars and bigger than everything all put together. Science tells us that the universe is unimaginably huge and more complex than we can imagine, but God is bigger than all of this.

At each stage of the process, God describes the creation as good, until the last day when He makes the first people and He describes it as “very good.” It is as if everything is made for the purpose of supporting human beings.

The Bible teaches that we are created for a purpose and that we are the pinnacle of God’s creative activity.

On the other hand, evolution tells us that everything is random, from the birth of our planet (an insignificant lump of rock on the edge of an average galaxy), to the production of individual human beings (you are just a random arrangement of DNA, and it determines your life).

So we get to a place of despair because there is no reason for us to exist. There is no future because in the end the whole universe will just run out of energy.

From that depressing explanation of life, we reap a harvest of depression, purposelessness, sexual anarchy and lawlessness.

God made you for a purpose. He has a plan for your life and a destiny for you in eternity.

Praise God!

Ten Reasons All Australians Can Rejoice at the Voice Referendum Result

Ten Reasons All Australians Can Rejoice at the Voice Referendum Result

The Yes campaign and the corporate media might be in mourning, but in truth, the referendum result is a win for all Australians. Here’s why.

The result of the weekend’s referendum was known within an hour or so of polls closing. Australians emphatically voted against constitutionally enshrining an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

Nationally, just 39.3 per cent affirmed the proposition, while a whopping 60.7 per cent made known their disapproval. Every state rejected it, along with the Northern Territory, home to the highest proportion of Indigenous residents in the nation.

The result was as definitive as the opinion polls had suggested. Once postal votes are accounted for, the No vote will likely swell some more.

The referendum debate subjected Australians to months of bickering and division. With some campaigners cynically framing the debate as a de facto empathy test or a vote on the value of Indigenous lives, the referendum took an especially heavy toll on many Aboriginal Australians.

However, as the dust settles on Saturday’s result, what are the positives all Australians can take away from our nation’s 45th referendum?

1. Indigenous Equality Reaffirmed

In 1967, over 90 per cent of Australians voted in favour of including Indigenous people in the census and empowering the federal government to legislate for Aboriginal people. That referendum took place in a decade that saw the full political equality of Aboriginal Australians affirmed, including their right to vote and stand for political office.

Almost 60 years later, Australians were effectively asked if Indigenous Australians should receive unequal political rights via a permanent race-based advisory body in Canberra. Their resounding rejection of the 2023 proposal race was a conspicuous reaffirmation of the 1967 referendum.

Thus, for more than five decades, our nation’s body politic has maintained remarkable consistency in its belief in the fundamental equality of all Australians, regardless of race. Put another way, the majority of the nation believes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians do not need to be pandered or condescended to for the simple reason that they are already our equals.

2. National Unity Fortified

While the referendum debate was deeply divisive, the eventual outcome was clear and resounding. A hefty majority of Australians agree that there are far more constructive ways to address Indigenous disadvantage than the one recently offered.

Note that a constitutionally-enshrined advisory body in Canberra was not the only thing rejected on Saturday. The Uluru Statement from the Heart — the political manifesto behind the Voice — effectively argued for two competing Australian sovereignties.

“The invasion that started at Botany Bay is the origin of the fundamental grievance between the old and new Australians,” the document argues. “Our sovereignty preexisted the Australian state and has survived it.”

Two competing Australias, divided along ethnic lines, perpetually battling for the upper hand in Canberra? It was a recipe for an ugly but permanent national division. Whether or not most voters were aware of the Uluru Statement’s more radical aims, they have repudiated it — and future generations will thank them.

3. Identity Politics Rejected

Over the last decade, we have seen a concerted effort from many quarters to reduce people to their physical attributes, and reward or hinder them accordingly.

Identity politics is a reductionistic way of viewing the world, and an anaemic way of viewing our fellow human travellers, who are made in God’s image as one-of-a-kind individuals.

Cultural Marxism has taken this a step further, using race to categorise people as “oppressed” and “oppressor”. Western Marxists have been very successful at weaponising Indigenous people against Western institutions which — ironically — have been uniquely successful at protecting their dignity and equality in law.

It is a credit to voters and a blessing for Australia that such a strong majority have resisted this cynical ploy, choosing to view Indigenous Australians as individuals, not avatars of a political cause.

Read the rest of the article here

The Voice Is Silenced

Yesterday, Australia voted in a referendum to change our constitution to include a so-called Voice to Parliament. The Voice would have been effectively a third chamber of Parliament that represented the concerns of indigenous people, able to veto any legislation or executive action of the Australian Government.

This referendum will go down as Australia’s Brexit moment. As with the Brexit vote in the UK, the ordinary people of Australia told their elite overlords to get out of identity politics and the “woke” agenda and start listening to the people who pay for all this stuff.

There are many reasons why the Voice is wrong in principle, including the following:

  • It gives one group of people extra rights not enjoyed by others
  • The aboriginal industry has over 1000 groups paid for by tax payers already
  • In Parliament, the proportion of indigenous Members and Senators exceeds the proportion of the general population. If they cannot be a “Voice” to the Government, (their job description is literally to represent the interests of their electorate), then who can?
  • The Voice would not solve the problems of remote aborigines who are the 20% who comprise the gap between mainstream Australia and indigenous Australia
  • The Voice would just be a talk fest for the inner city elites who already have plenty of platforms to voice their grievances

In Australia, constitutional change is difficult to achieve. As well as getting a national majority in favour, proponents must also win a majority in a majority of states (i.e. 4 out of 6 states). To achieve that, history shows that both sides of politic need to be actively in favour. In this case they weren’t.

So here are the results from the AEC web site as of close of counting on Saturday night. The vast majority of votes have been counted, but the result cannot be officially declared for two weeks until postal votes are included.

Overall, the vote was about 60% “No” nationally and in every state. Even Victoria, the wokest state ended up 54% “No”. Early in counting, it almost looked like it would be about 50-50, but the later counting brought it more into line with the rest of the country.

Interestingly SA and WA which were the two states that the “Yes” campaign had to win to ensure the majority of states, they had an even greater “No” vote. In other words, the more people saw of this proposal, the more likely they were to reject it.

If you go to the last line in the table you see the ACT vote. They were the exact opposite of the rest of the country- 60% “Yes”. The Canberra bubble is the cause of most of the problems in this country. Dominated by the bureaucracy, the ACT is exactly out of step with the rest of the nation. It must surely be time to dismantle Canberra- that would be a constitutional change that could get through.
