Overcast but not as cold today. Magpies are increasing their attacks, but I hope that hostilities will end soon.

Family is the primary transmitter of culture. It is by far the most effective method for moulding generation upon generation of people who hold the same values. Whatever values and belief systems are deposited into our children, they will take into their adult lives and into their spheres of influence. Paul Botha

A shorter ride today as my body was not very co-operative.

We will see the miraculous power of God imparted through godly people laying hands on the sick. Rather than rely on a new super-drug or treatment, the Kingdom of God will advance rapidly, as desperate people find hope in a God who heals! Paul Botha

A very cold start this morning. We had a blustery southerly change last night, but it cleared to a cloudless day.

Protestants need to recover both natural law and a high view of the physical body. Some will immediately object that natural law will not persuade the wider world to change its opinions about anything. I would concede that. My concern here is not primarily for the outside world but for the church herself. She needs to be able to teach her people coherently about moral principles.  Carl Trueman
