The Pause draws blood – A new record Pause length: no warming for 18 years 7 months

For 223 months, since January 1997, there has been no global warming at all (Fig. 1). This month’s RSS temperature shows the Pause setting a new record at 18 years 7 months.

It is becoming ever more likely that the temperature increase that usually accompanies an El Niño will begin to shorten the Pause somewhat, just in time for the Paris climate summit, though a subsequent La Niña would be likely to bring about a resumption and perhaps even a lengthening of the Pause.

The hiatus period of 18 years 7 months is the farthest back one can go in the RSS satellite temperature record and still show a sub-zero trend. The start date is not cherry-picked: it is calculated. And the graph does not mean there is no such thing as global warming. Going back further shows a small warming rate.

Reflection on John 6:41-51

Scripture
“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live for ever. This bread is my flesh which I will give for the life of the world.”

Observation
Jesus declares that He is the Bread of Life that comes down from heaven.

The people murmur against Him because He says He came from heaven. He is Joseph’s little boy!

No one comes to Jesus unless the Father draws him. Everyone who believes in Jesus has eternal life. The manna in the desert fed people for a limited time, and then they died. Jesus is the bread who gives eternal life.

Application
Jesus is the food for eternal life. We feed on Him and He sustains us into eternity.

The only way into heaven is through Jesus. No other way will provides us with access to the Father.

Good works are not good enough to obliterate sin. Other religions offer their own ideas about justifying ourselves, but they don’t deal with the root problems of sin.

Only Jesus takes away our sin.

Only Jesus counteracts the law of sin and death.

Only Jesus can bring us to the Father.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, you are the true Bread of Heaven. Thank you for setting me free from sin through your death in the cross. Amen.

Why Obama is Wrong

In any sane society the climate change myth would have died long ago, giving rise to real science on climate. In the latest episode of arrogance, President Obama has dedicated his nation to higher electricity prices and reduced economic wealth to solve a non-problem and reduce the earthg’s temperature by at most 0.1 degrees.

If Obama was shown this graph, and had it interpreted proprly for him, he would have found there is zero correlation between CO2 concentration and temperature.

And if has shown this graph, he would have  seen how CO2 emissions and energy usage actually do correlate with human health, wealth and well-being.

 

The climate myth continues despite 18 years of no measurable change in temperature and steady release of CO2 into the atmosphere.

King Canute understood he had no power to control the sea, but our modern day emperors have the pride to believe they can control the weather.

Reflection on Ephesians 4:25-52

Scripture
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children.

Observation
We are to speak truthfully to one another. Anger must go; nobody should let the sun go down while they are still angry.

Thieves must steal no longer, but work for a living instead.

All forms of bitterness, anger, slander and malice should give way to kindness, compassion and forgiveness.

We must imitate God, living lives marked by love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us.

Application
Following Jesus means that our lives should be transformed at the most basic level. Our relationships and attitudes to others will be radically reorganised by the power of God’s love.

The commandments Paul gives in this section are impossible in human strength alone. The good news is that we have the grace of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives.

We cannot expect the Lord to do all the work, however. He will not change us if we refuse His grace. The christian life is a process of learning to allow the Holy Spirit to convict us of sin, and then repenting daily of those sins. It is a partnership in which we co-operate with the Spirit’s sanctifying work.

Prayer
Thank you Lord for the grace to change my life. Amen.

Whirlwind and Angels Awakening Us

On a recent Monday night, as I was speaking in our School of the Prophets, a prophetic word started to rise up in me; and then at a recent prayer meeting, I sensed the whirlwind starting, and though I believe it is for the Church at large it’s also for the Nation of Australia.

The Church is in the season of her greatest awakening!

Job 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said…

The Lord is speaking in this hour; we need to incline our ear. The Body of Christ is being awakened by the supernatural activity of God in His whirlwind. His angelic activity is being released to arouse His sleeping Bride to a position of intercession and travail in this day, so as to birth the promises and prophetic words that have been declared over her.

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is Roaring

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is starting to do something fresh and poured out from the Presence of the Lord. Jesus Christ is waking up His Church.

There is a strengthening coming into the Bride. She is being established and increasing as she walks in the revelations of generations gone by, and it culminates into a powerful and mighty release of the supernatural in this day. Many Christians have been seeing the number “11” this past year, and we know that 11 was seen in 9/11. So when we begin seeing the number 11, God could be revealing that security issues are at hand, BUT when we begin to see 11:11 God is awakening us in this hour to roar and mark our territory, to take dominion and put fear in the enemy’s camp. I believe God is sending a clear clarion call for the intercessors in this hour, and it is also a call to the Church to awake!

When we see 11:11 then we need to realize that God is doing something!!! In John 11:11, “These things He said…” and then added, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go (Greek poreuo which means to lead and bring order to life) that I may wake him up.”

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is awakening His friend, His lover and His Bride, and as she awakens order and abundant life will be established in her territory.

The Nation Shakes and Wealth is Released

The Lion of The Tribe of Judah is bringing order and going to war over this nation. The Lord is going to shift the very seat of government and authority in the realm of the spirit, and there will be an increase of power and the release of amazing, incredible miracles and the release of wealth.

Haggai 2:6:9 For thus says the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord of hosts.

There is a shaking for an awakening and a releasing of wealth and glory in this season! The Lion of The Tribe of Judah is Roaring and He is awakening His Bride!

ElijahList Prophetic Resources

When a lion wants to show his domination in a territory, he releases a mighty roar and the sound of the roar travels through the territory and releases vibrations in the earth and every creature that feels the vibrations, realizes, that a lion is declaring his dominion!

This is the season that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, within the sons of God, will release a sound, a declaration of such dominion, that it will be felt in the earth beneath and the hills will shake! The earth has been crying out for the sons to manifest for it to be subdued under the Kingdom of God.

Time For Transformation

The Church will begin to release strategies for city transformation in this hour. The doors to the offices of government are swinging open. These are Heaven’s doors opening wide! Look out, look out for the manifestations of Heaven to overflow in your midst. You will come to these offices with strategies of Heaven in your hands. God is releasing scrolls, blueprint plans, for transformational change.

There is a roar that is coming from the sons and daughters, and it is going to break open revival in regions! The earth is going to see the authority of the sons of God and it is going to shake nations! When the nations begin to shake, we will also see hidden wealth revealed. Hidden riches and treasure that have been in darkness up until now!

Australia and the Nations: Arise, Shine!

Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmania: arise, awake and roar! Awakening is at hand.

The nations are about to come to the brightness of her rising (Isaiah 60). As the Bride arises and roars we will see one sound, the Bride, coming into a place of unity and harmony, not of agreement in theology but in identity! It will be awesome in its emergence. We are going to see the spheres of influence lock shields, and when they do, there is going to be a release of power and the government of God never seen before in the nations. (Photo via Wikipedia)

The sons of God are realizing their identity and they are beginning to understand their positioning, they are seated in Heavenly places and from that position they are going to start to rule and reign with Him, and as they do, Heaven’s government will be demonstrated and His Kingdom power is about to be released on the earth! Sons, no longer is your identity going to be stolen from you; you have awoken and you realize who you are and to Whom you belong.

We suddenly will realize who is within us and as we do, a roar never heard in your region before is about to be heard and you are about to take dominion of the territory assigned to you as the roar puts fear into the heart of the enemy!

Heaven is about to occupy earth and we will see an increased activity of angels, restorations and healings, miracles, salvations, the supernatural, and many will witness the glory of God as it covers the earth. The Church is arising in all of her glory, beauty, splendor, honor and wealth!

Reflection on John 6:24-35

Scripture

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”

Observation

The people go across the lake in pursuit of Jesus. Jesus tells them they are following Him for the bread and not out of a desire to see God. He tells them not to work for physical food but for the food of eternal life.

They ask Him for another sign so that they can believe in Him, just as Moses gave their ancestors manna in the desert.

Jesus says it was the Father who gave them bread from heaven, and now Jesus Himself is the true bread of life that satisfies spiritual hunger and thirst.

Application

We can be so locked in to our unbelief that the greatest miracles no longer hold any wonder for us. The people who had experienced the feeding of the 5000 ask for a sign that Jesus is the Messiah. How many signs does it take?

Those who are spiritually hungry, the desperate ones, will reach out to Jesus and feast on Him because He really is the bread of life.

When we devote ourselves entirely to serving Him, to intimacy with Him, to following Him, then we are filled with every good thing.

Prayer

Lord Jesus you really are the bread of life. Thank you that in you I am satisfied. Amen.

“Impossible” Engine

This is either a completely new form of propulsion previously unknown or a load of rubbish. It’s a worry when devices appear to defy conventional laws of physics.

Ridiculed as impossible by the scientific community, the electromagnetic propulsion engine – which could supposedly take a craft from Earth to Pluto in just 18 months without the need for rocket fuel – has apparently been confirmed by an independent scientist as working.

German scientist Martin Tajmar​, who has a history of debunking fanciful propulsion systems, claims in a paper he has tested a copy of NASA’s experimental device (known as the EMDrive) and that it does produce thrust. This is controversial because the theory that has been used to explain the device violates conventional physics and the law of conservation of momentum.

The EMDrive is complete crap and a waste of time.

The EMDrive theoretically works by converting electric power into microwaves which bounce around inside an enclosed cavity, using the difference in radiation to move through an environment. This violates the laws of physics, which state that if something moves forward it must also push something back, as no propellant is expelled to balance the engine’s momentum.

The original EmDrive was invented nearly 15 years ago, but its use has been consistently ridiculed as scientifically impossible.

Despite appearing to contradict our understanding of physics, NASA’s tests of the device (which has been described by overenthusiastic  media as an attempt to make a Star Trek warp drive) inexplicably produced a thrust in 2014. If the results were accurate, a much larger version of the device could have incredible implications on future space travel and colonisation, as well as on vehicles and buildings.

Tajmar​’s tests were apparently an attempt to replicate NASA’s work and see the results for himself. He was careful to state his testing cannot explicitly confirm or refute the claims of how the EMDrive works, only that the thrust produced is consistent with those claims, even in a vacuum.

“We do observe thrust close to the actual predictions after eliminating many possible error sources that should warrant further investigation into the phenomena,” Tajmar says.

Predictably, many in the scientific community remain unconvinced.

“My insight is that the EMDrive is complete crap and a waste of time,” American physicist Sean Carroll told tech site io9. “Right there in the abstract this paper says, ‘Our test campaign can not confirm or refute the claims of the EMDrive’, so I’m not sure what the news is. I’m going to spend my time thinking about ideas that don’t violate conservation of momentum.”

Professor Tajmar presented his paper, which is not peer-reviewed, at the 2015 American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics’ Propulsion and Energy Forum and Exposition this week.

Reflection on Ephesians 4:1-16

Scripture

As a prisoner for the Lord then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

Observation

Paul urges us to live a life in accordance with our calling as followers of Jesus Christ. We should be humble and gentle with one another, making every effort to live in unity under the one God and Father of us all.

God has given gifts to the church- apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers- to prepare God’s people for service and to build up the Body of Christ in unity and maturity.

When we become truly mature we will be growing into Christ and not listening to the vain teaching and scheming of men.

Application

We must learn to live together as christians in genuine unity. For too long, the church has been mired by denominationalism, by envy, by competitiveness, and by false teaching.

If we take this chapter seriously, we will learn to love one another regardless of worship styles and the ways we express our faith.

Most of what divides christians is the superficial and irrelevant. We must learn to be people of love.

True ministers- apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers- will be working to bring the church into unity. Only the false ministers will use their positions to divide the flock of Christ,

Prayer

Holy Spirit work in my life so that I can love my brothers and sisters. Show me how I can break down barriers to people from other churches and traditions. Amen.
