For this light that is within you produces only what is good and right and true.

Observation
We have the light that comes from the Lord and so we must live as people of the light not as people of darkness.

We need to understand what pleases God and do what He wants.

People of the darkness do all kinds of evil things which are too shameful to even talk about much less participate in.

But God's light will shine on all the deeds of men exposing them and bringing them to judgement.

Application
Christianity can never be merely a philosophy. Being children of light means that we must now have our lives changed to conform to God's will for us and not our own desires.

That is why christianity is so unpopular in our culture. To be a christian means that we must turn away from our sins which we enjoy and pursue the good deeds of God. That's a sacrifice that many consider too great.

Prayer
Lord let your light shine on me. Show me Lord the things that I need to turn from and give me the grace to live as a child of the light. Amen.
