Another sunny day
Breeze gently lifts
autumn leaves
Green grass
Waves scurry
along the creek
a haven for
birds and fish
frogs and turtles
My heart says
“Lord you have
assigned
pleasant places
to your servant.”

Oh can I EVER say that! It's a beautiful day here with all of the above except autumn leaves.

We don't have that many autumn leaves where I live, and even imported deciduous trees tend to just drop their leaves without putting on the colour displays that cooler climates have. We do have a large elm tree in our yard which is happily shedding leaves at the moment. I spent a happy hour yesterday believing that my leaf sucker was making a noticeable difference!
