Scripture
But you are God's chosen and special people. You are a group of royal priests and a holy nation. God has brought you out of darkness and into his marvellous light. Now you must tell about all the wonderful things he has done.

Observation
Christians are meant to be different in lifestyle to others. We must give up hatred and hypocrisy choosing instead to follow Jesus.

Jesus has brought us out of the place of darkness and ito the light. He has set us free.

He has made us into a kingdom of priests. Once we were nobody, but God drew us into His family.

Application
God calls us into a life that goes fay beyond mere salvation. He wants us to be holy.

Holiness is hard work. Living for God means that we are constantly swimming against the current of our natural inclinations and of society's expectations.

The solution is to recognise who we are in Christ. He has called us from the life of death to the life of eternity.

As we keep returning to Christ we find grace to live that life.

Thank you Lord for making me a part of your royal priesthood. Help me to live a life consecrated to you. Amen.
