If someone asks about your christian hope always be ready to explain it.

Observation
If we do what is right people are less likely to hurt us. But if they do, God Himself will reward us.

We must put Christ first as Lord of every part of our lives. And if someone asks why we do this, then we can explain the reason for our hope.

Christ suffered for all sins for all time. He died to bring us safely home.

Now Christ is in heaven seated next to God the Father. All the angels and principalities accept His authority.

Application
If we always try to do what is right people will respect that. But even if they don't, it's up to God to judge them and to vindicate us,

We need to remember though, that the world persecuted Christ who was sinless, so that will happen to His followers also.

If I put Christ as the centre of all that I do, seeking His direction in all things, then I will have the opportunity to speak for Him.

The key in all of this is to remember that I no longer own my life. I surrendered it to Jesus when I chose to follow Him. So all that I do should be dedicated to glorifying my Redeemer.

Prayer
Help me Lord to give all that I am to your purposes. Let my words and actions glorify you. Amen.
