Scripture
And as Aaron spoke to the whole community of Israel they looked out toward the wilderness. There they could see the awesome glory of the Lord in the cloud.
Observation
Just one month into their liberty and the people of Israel are again whining to Moses and Aaron. This time the problem is lack of food They fantasise about their former lifestyle, making it to be a life of luxury.
The Lord responds by telling Moses that He will supply the food they need. Aaron tells the people the message while they are staring at the glory of God.
So the Lord provides quail in the evenings and manna n the mornings to sustain the people in the wilderness.
Application
The Israelites are portrayed as biter complainers who have no faith in the Lord to provide their needs.
How often we are like that. Instead of looking to the Lord in humble expectation we grizzle and complain and seek to solve our problems ourselves.
God is trying to teach us to trust Him for everything.
When we do that we don't just get the bare minimum of bread and water. We get the meat as well!
The Lord knows what we need and He will supply it in abundance- if we trust Him.
Prayer
Father how great is your kindness to us! Help me Lord to trust you for what I need today. Amen.
