Today Margaret asked me for a report on whether our jacaranda trees have any flowers. I went out to inspect them all and discovered that while some of them are close to flowering, none actually have any at the moment.

The tree at the front of our house seems to be being afflicted by aphids. The good news is that there are lady birds running around the tree happily eating the aphids.

I discovered today that tiny insects are very difficult to photograph, even with a good camera and a macro setting on the lend. Out of 34 photos this was the best.

I was surprised to see the tiny water drop on its back just beneath the sun sparkle.
