There has never been another in Israel prophet like Moses whom the Lord knew face to face.

Observation
Moses climbs Mount Nebo and the Lord shows him the whole land of Israel. There Moses dies and the Lord buries him, although the exact location is unknown.

The people of Israel mourn Moses for thirty days, and Joshua is appointed in his place.

Application
Moses was known as a prophet like no other. He knew the Lord face to face, an intimate relationship.

God desires us all to have that sort of close friendship with Him. The reason Jesus died on the cross was to break down the walls of enmity between us and God.

There is no barrier from God's side. The only things holding me back come from me- things like continuing disobedience, fear or desire to run my own life,

What is the highest priority in my heart? Is it to know God as a friend?

Prayer
Help me Father to put aside every heart attitude that holds me back from you and to seek you with all my heart. Amen.
