In her annual Christmas message, the Queen goes way beyond the usual "Christmas is about families" frippery and shares a gospel message. Strangely, the media didn't report this at all in Australia.

Very nice speech. And how wonderful that an important world leader would stress the reason for Christmas so clearly.

It has been well-known for a long time that the Queen is a person of very deep faith, but she has never really said much in the past, possibly because of an assumption that as a christian country everyone knows what Christmas is about. But of course those days are gone, so it is good to see that she is trying to remind people.
