Just to confuse things, I've also joined up to a 52 week challenge on facebook. I'm not sure how long I will persevere with that one.

This looks like a great challenge! I think I made the most improvements in my photography when I had goals to meet like this.

I like it because it challenges you to look more creatively at the environment. The one that was running on flickr was really good because they mixed in techniques such as backlighting and flares and linked to articles to learn how to do them.I'll see how this one goes over the next month or so. I do enjoy looking at other people's interpretations of the topics also.
