Scripture
“But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people.”
Observation
God is going to make a new covenant with His people. This one will be different from the old covenant as God will put His laws into the hearts of the people rather than on tablets of stone.
In the new covenant people will not need to teach their neighbours to love the Lord, for they will already know Him.
Application
We already live in the time of the new covenant. Jesus died to set us free from the demands of sin and of the impossible demands of the law.
The external law has been replaced by the internal presence of the Holy Spirit.
That is not to say that we no longer need external help in knowing how to live God's way. The Acts church devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship.
Nonetheless the miracle is still real- every born-again christian has the Holy Spirit present with them. The challenge is to live in constant fellowship with the Spirit, paying attention to the “still small voice” at every moment of the day.
Prayer
Father I thank you for the Holy Spirit who guide, encourages and corrects me. Help me to listen and obey in every situation. Amen.

Amen, a change of attitude within, a change of heart. It's not an outward law that is forcing my obedience, but God writing His law in my heart that is creating a new character within me – a born again nature that desires the things of the Lord.the Law says do not murder -the Holy Spirit says love your neighbor.The old covenant was established upon man's faithfulness to obey the law. The new covenant is established upon God's faithfulness to justify us. The old covenant failed because it was predicated upon man's work. The new covenant will stand because it is predicated upon God's work. may we rest in Him!(sorry, got kinda excited – but then again, what's not to get excited about. great reflectional truth)

Saint Augustine said, "Love God and do as you please." In other words if you really love God you will love what God loves. Unfortunately the human heart is deceitful and we can usually excuse any kind of behaviour.But if we truly listen to the Holy Spirit then we don't need the law.
