Scripture
To the glory of God the Father, everyone will openly agree that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Observation
Paul tells us that we who are christians must allow Christ to mould our attitudes.

Christ truly was God, but he didn't grasp onto equality with God. He ave it all up for us. He became human and gave up the trappings of divine glory. He was humble and obedient all the way to the cross.

Because of this obedience, the Father raised Him up to the highest place of honour, and one day every person will acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Application
Paul tells us that we need to follow the example of Christ. He gave up everything to die for our sins. We should likewise be prepared to die for our brothers ands sisters.

Christ considered that our salvation was worth considerable suffering- spiritual, emotional and physical. We also need to be ready to suffer hardship for the sake of the gospel.

Christ emptied himself for the sake of the gospel. We should pour ourselves out for Him.

Lord please place that attitude of humble obedience in me. Amen.
