Lent Prayer

Tuesday 3rd

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. John 3:17-19

The death of Jesus brought freedom to those who receive Him, but condemnation for those who reject Him. Pray that your friends will receive Jesus and His salvation.

Wednesday 4th

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

The cross is the place where God makes peace with the world. So many people are raging against God needlessly. The war is over and peace is available for those prepared to enter in. Pray that you may be, like Paul, an ambassador of peace.

  1. There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins, and sinners plunged beneath that flood loose all their guilty stains. Hallelujah!
