You know that Jesus came to take away our sins and there is no sin in Him.

Observation
We are God's children because of his love. The world does not recognise us as God's children because they don't know the Father.

We don't know exactly what we will be like when Christ reappears but we do know that we will be like Christ. For this reason we should keep ourselves pure.

Sin is contrary to God's law. Those who love Jesus will stop sinning. Those who continue to sin do not know Jesus.

Application
One of the results of following Jesus is that we desire to be like Him. Those who follow Jesus do not continue to sin.

This does not mean that we are perfect in every way. The process of becoming like Jesus is a life-long journey.

What it does mean is that christians should stop their addiction to sin. Over time we put away sin habits and take on board godly attitudes and ways.

By ourselves this is impossible because it requires a new heart and a new mind.

But in God's grace this is possible because, as we allow Him to, He transforms every part of our being.

Prayer
Glory to you mighty God- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You have released my bondage to sin and you are re-making me into your likeness. Thank you. Amen.
