Scripture
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Observation
We are to be strong in the Lord. He has provided spiritual armour to keep us victorious.

The fight is not against human enemies but against unseen rulers, powers and demonic forces. We need to use spiritual weapons not fleshly ones.

We must pray in the Spirit on every occasion.

Application
In our naturalistic culture which denies anything other than the physical world, we find it hard to remember that we are caught up in a cosmic spiritual war.

Because our enemies are the unseen powers, we must fight our battles on the spiritual front. God has given us a formidable array of weapons such as faith, the gospel, righteousness and faith.

The key to it all is constant prayer. This is prayer in the Spirit- the prayer that uses the gifts of 1 Corinthians 12. This is prayer that hears the Spirit of God and then prays God's prayers.

Prayer
Lord please remind me always that my battle is not with people but with demonic spirits. Help me Father to be so in touch with you that my prayers are your prayers. Amen.
