Scripture
For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.

Observation
Christ is the perfect High Priest who has now entered the perfect tabernacle in heaven- a tabernacle that remains free of sin or any corruption of this world.

Christ offered the perfect sacrifice, His own blood, and entered the Most Holy Place on our behalf. Under the old covenant, animal sacrifices could cleanse a person of sin, but how much more can the perfect sacrifice of Christ's blood cleanse us from sin.

Application
Jesus is the perfect High Priest, ministering a perfect sacrifice in a perfect tabernacle. His death on our behalf brought a perfect atonement of sin, perfect and complete forgiveness and reconciliation with God.

There is nothing we can add to what Christ did for us on the cross. There is no good work that we can do that will make any difference at all to the way the Father loves us and accepts us in Christ.

It is all finished and completed in Christ.

All we have to do is receive Christ's completed work, saying “Yes” to his offer of grace.

Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, you died for my sin and continue to intercede on my behalf. Thank you for this great grace that is beyond comprehension. Amen.
