Reflection on Isaiah 43:1-7

Scripture
“Bring all who claim me as their God for I have made them for my glory. It is I who created them.”

Observation
God tells his people to not be afraid. The Lord has ransomed his people and he will surely protect them.

When they go through the deep waters, the Lord will be with them and through the fires of oppression he will rescue them.

The Lord loves his people and he will bring them together from the four corners of the world.

Application
God tells the people of Israel that He loves them so much he gave up Egypt, Ethiopia and Seba as a ransom for them. They must not feel abandoned or inferior.

How much more does he love us for whom he gave up his one and only Son?

We must never feel unimportant or insignificant to our Father. He calls us by name. Out of the billions of people on this planet he knows my name! God knows me and loves me- what more do I need?

Prayer
Glory to you gracious loving Father! You have held nothing back from me. Help me to appreciate your great love for me. Amen.
