Observation
Many people in Samaria become christians, including a famous sorcerer named Simon. Simon follows Philip and is amazed at the signs and miracles performed by him in Jesus' name.

Peter and John come from Jerusalem to see what is happening. They lay hands on the new believers and they receive the Holy Spirit.

Application
A revival of great proportions takes place- even the magicians get saved.

In the chaos, there isn't time for good discipleship programmes. In his busy-ness, Philip overlooks teaching the new disciples about the Holy Spirit.

Just one prayer and these new believers receive the power of the Holy Spirit.

God is wanting to baptise us in the Spirit, complete with prayer in tongues, miracles, healing and the other gifts. All we need to do is believe Him and be open to all that He wants for us.

If you have never received the fullness of the Holy Spirit, let Him overflow you now.

Holy Spirit, come. I release myself into your hands. Come and fill me to overflowing. Amen.
