So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except by the Holy Spirit.

Observation
the Holy Spirit gives a diversity of gifts for the purpose of praising Jesus. Even though there are a variety of charismata the same Spirit is service. God works in different ways in different people, bit it's the same God.

There are powers for knowledge, for speaking and for action, but it is the one God at work in all of them.

Application
We think of gifts in terms of possession, but here a better way of thinking about the term is operations or ways of working. These “gifts” are not a permanent possession, but the Holy Spirit flows through a person in whatever ways are needed at the time.

God has called into being a single body made up of many individuals. As we each exercise our faith on every occasion, the name of Jesus is lifted high. Today, the Lord might want me to exercise a word of knowledge and my friend has faith for a miracle. Tomorrow our roles may be different.

Regardless, it is the One Spirit working through the One Body to draw people to the Redeemer.

Prayer
Father please give me the faith to exercise whatever spiritual gift is needed today. Amen.
