Scripture
I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.

Observation
The call of the Lord comes to Jeremiah. The Lord had set him apart before he was born.

Jeremiah's first response is “I'm too young!” But God tells him that doesn't matter because He will be with Jeremiah.

The Lord appoints Jeremiah to speak to the nations- some to build up and others to be torn down.

Application
Each one of us has been specially designed and hand-crafted by the Lord. Each one of us has been created for a purpose.

Jeremiah discovered his purpose In a dramatic way and at a young age. Other people tend to fall into their purpose.

The only way to do this, though, is to surrender ourselves to God and allow Him to shape and mould us as He sees fit.

Prayer
Lord I recognise that you know why I am here. Please help me to find your purpose and to live a life surrendered to you. Amen.
