But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who died.

Observation
The resurrection is real and true. Christ has been raised from the dead like the first part of a harvest that is yet to come.

Death came into the world through Adam, and we share in his inheritance of death. But life has come through Christ and all who belong to him share in this new life.

When Christ comes back all who belong to him will be raised. Then the end will come and Christ will hand over the kingdom to the Father. Christ will reign until every enemy- even death itself- has been destroyed and then he will hand over everything to the Father.

Application
All who belong to Christ have left the kingdom of death and are now in the kingdom of life. We share in this great gift of eternal life that comes to us through Jesus Christ.

This is the amazing promise of God, and the real message of Easter. The God who raised Jesus Christ from the tomb will surely do the same for all of his followers. Hallelujah!

What an awesome promise this is Lord! Thank you for this gift of life. Amen.
