Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Observation
We have been saved by grace and as a result we have a responsibility to live by the Spirit of God not by the works of the old nature. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

The Spirit is not a spirit of fear but the Spirit of Sonship, enabling us to call out to our God, “Abba Father.” The Spirit tells us that we are God's children.

Because we are God's children, we are heirs together with Christ, of all that God has for us. If we share in Christ's suffering we will also share in His glory.

Application
The Holy Spirit's role is to cement us into God's kingdom. He gives us the ability to live as God's children, no longer dominated by selfish sin.

If we allow God to be our Father, moulding us into His image, then we will get to share in His great inheritance.

The Holy Spirit, God in us, is the sign of this great gift. It is the Holy Spirit who transforms us and allows us to walk in an intimate relationship with the Father.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, please help me to yield to your work in my life, knowing that I will share the glory of Christ. Amen.
