Then I was the craftsman at his side,
I was filled with delight day after day
rejoicing always in his presence
rejoicing in his whole world
and delighting in mankind.

Observation
Wisdom calls out to us, wherever people are, calling for us to pay heed.

Wisdom was the first of God's works, before the world began or anything was in it.

Wisdom rejoices in God's creation, delighting in makind.

Application
What is personified in this passage as wisdom seems to be a picture of Jesus. Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God was there with the Father shaping creation, delighting in the world and rejoicing in humanity.

Today He rejoices in us, even when we stumble in the ways of righteousness. He calls out to all people everywhere, “Come and follow me.”

Lord Jesus, you are the wisdom of God. Thank you for the knowledge that you rejoice in me. Amen.
