Scripture
Now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God's promise to Abraham belongs to you.

Observation
Before we were able to receive the way of Christ, the Law was there to guard our lives until the way of faith was revealed.

The Law was like a guardian, a protector. Now that we have faith we no longer need a guardian.

In Christ, we are all children of God. All the divisions between people- Jew and Gentile, male and female, slave and free- are pushed aside because we are all one in Christ.

Application
When we are united to Christ, all legalism is done away with. The rules that tell us what we can and cannot do are removes by a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.

All the rules that state that one group is more entitled than another group are also done away with. We are children of the Father, the Body of Christ, the royal priesthood.

Racism, sexism, elitism and all the other isms that divide must die in the face of the amazing grace of God which adopts all Christians into His family.

Prayer
Thank you Lord that your acceptance of me is not based on my performance or on factors of my birth. Hep me to respond to your love by living entirely for you. Amen.
