Scripture
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.

Observation
We must not just receive Christ as Lord but grow in Him, strengthened and rooted in faith. We must avoid all the deceptions of human tradition and evil principles of this world.

In Christ we have all the fullness of God. Christ is the head over every created thing, including the powers and authorities which seek to hold us captive. We don't have to rely on human traditions such as circumcision or other religious practices because we share in Christ's death and resurrection.

We were dead in our sins, but Christ raised us to life. We don't need anything else such as religious festivals and rules about what to eat and drink.

Application
Christ is all we need for salvation and for our walk with God. Don't be swayed by people who want to add to Christ, whether it is Jewish Law or human traditions, religious observances or worship of angels.

Christ is enough! In Him we have access to the Father and eternal life. He is the one who sets us free from sin and from everything that would seek to separate us from the Father. He has paid the price of every sin on the cross.

Every heresy starts with Christ plus something else. Whether it is legalism or hyper-spirituality, it takes our mind off Jesus- exactly what satan wants.

Prayer
Jesus please help me to keep my eyes firmly fixed on you, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
