Scripture
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and for ever.

Observation
We are to love our brothers in the Lord, entertain strangers and visit prisoners.

Because we love God, He is our provision, and so we don't need to pursue money or extramarital affairs.

We must rust in God's grace and not in religious laws and ceremonies which cannot save us.

Application
We must set our hearts on Christ all the time. He is the unchanging one. He is the one who meets all our needs.

Too often we want to add something to what Christ has done foe us- Jesus Plus. Jesus Plus money; Jesus Plus sex; Jesus Plus religion.

Not only is it unnecessary to add to what Christ has done for us on the cross, it is also harmful. When we add to Jesus, we take away from Him.

Jesus is the pre-existing, eternal Son of God. There is no one like Him. He is all we need.

Prayer
Thank you Jesus for your great unfailing love. Help me to trust you for all that I need. Amen.
