This is a trustworthy saying: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”– and I was the worst of them all.

Observation
Paul is thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ that He called Paul to serve Him, even though Paul was a blasphemer and persecutor.

Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and Paul considers himself th worst of sinners. But God had mercy on him and uses him as an example of His great grace.

Others will realise that if Paul can be saved then they can too.

Application
The person who has truly experienced the grace of God is always astounded by the audacity of grace.

If someone as violent and self-righteous as Paul can be saved then there is hope for all of us.

There is no sin so great that God cannot forgive it because of the cross of Christ,

First we must turn away from the sin and recognise how ugly it is to God and then believe in God's grace to forgive through the cross of Christ.

Simple but true.
