I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf and give thanks for them.

Observation
Paul urges us to pray for all people, interceding with thanksgiving. We must also pray for kings and other leaders so we can live peaceful lives.

God wants everyone to be saved. There is only one Saviour, one Mediator- Jesus who gave His life to purchase our freedom from sin.

Paul is a preacher and apostle called to teach Gentiles the truth about faith.

Application
God wants all christians to pray- interceding and giving thanks for everyone. We must have a broad prayer list, starting with Government leaders and continuing through to everyone we know.

God wants everyone to be saved and our prayers are instrumental in that plan. The only way of salvation is through Jesus- not religion, or Buddha or Islam. We need to pray that our friends, neighbours and co-workers come to know Jesus is Lord.

We don't pray enough in the West- there are too many worldly distractions that steal our attention. We must make prayer a daily priority and dedicate quality time to intercession.

Prayer
Father I confess that I don't pray anywhere near as much as I should. Please help me to seek you more and more each day. Amen.
