“Because you cheered when my temple was defiled, mocked Israel in her desolation and laughed at Judah as she went into exile, I will allow nomads from the eastern desert to overrun your country. They will set up their camps among you and pitch their tents on your land.”

Observation

The Lord tells Ezekiel to prophesy against the nations that surround Israel.

The Ammonites cheered when the temple was defiled and Israel and Judah were taken into exile. The Lord says he will allow foreigners, the desert nomads, to inhabit their land and take their crops.

Moab will likewise be destroyed at the hands of the desert nomads because they had said that Judah was just like all the other nations.

The people of Eden had avenged themselves against the people of Judah. The Lord will wipe out these people at the hands of his people Israel,

The Philistines had long-term contempt and vengeance against Judah, and the Lord will punish them for this. The Lord will execute terrible vengeance against them and wipe them out.

Application

The Lord takes the side of His people when they are hurt, mocked or denigrated by other people.

As I read the punishment against the Ammonites, for the way they cheered the defilement of the Temple and mocked Israel and Judah, my thoughts went to the people who consider themselves to be the elites in Australia. They mock Christians and denounce Israel unfairly.

But God will humble these people. The mass migration policies of recent years will see people taking on the property of these elites.

The Lord does not stand by while people insult the church and mock our beliefs.

An accounting will happen.

Lord, what do you want to say about the social issues in Australia?

Keith, there are people who are determined to destroy the West. They have been brainwashed by the communists in the universities. They hate me and my people. They will do everything they can to destroy the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.

This war will not be won by publicity campaigns nor by political strategy. The war will be won by prayer and the gospel.

I will claim Australia and other Western countries back from those who seek to steal them. But you must pray.
