Scripture
Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of our sins, turn to God and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ to show you have received the forgiveness of oyur sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Observation
Peter's words that Jesus whim they crucified was in fact the Messiah pierces the hearts of his audience. They ask what they can do to be saved, and Peter tells them they need to repent and turn to God. He promises that they will be saved and will receive the Holy Spirit.

About 3000 people were added to the church that day.

Application
Salvation. The power of the Holy Spirit.

Freely available to all.

We don't have to belong to a particular racial group or worship in a particualr way or keep complicated rules. No sacrifices are needed as the perfect sacrifice has been made.

What joy these facts bring as we treasure them in our hearts.

Prayer
Thank you Lord for this wonderful Good News. Jesus died for me. Hallelujah!
