Scripture
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Observation
The Holy Spirit searches our heart, sees our weaknesses and then intercedes for us- intercedes not judges! God is working in all things for our good, building us up and bringing glory to us.
If God is doing this how can we ever think that God is against us or out to get us? He has given us everything, including His own dear Son.
So now nothing can separate us from God's love- nothing in the whole of creation.
Application
Christians have nothing to fear- God is for us. That doesn't mean that He assents to our sins. It doesn't mean that God is indifferent to the way we live. It means that God is on our side, building us up in His love.
Nothing can separate us from God's love because His love is bigger than anything in all creation.
We don't have to worry about slipping out of God's grasp- His love will hold us safely there.
Prayer
Father your love is beyond understanding. Help me to receive your love and to treasure you in my heart in the way that you treasure me. Amen.
