Reflection on Romans 10:5-15

Scripture
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Observation
The Law of God has the power to save whose who are able to keep the Law. But the way of faith says that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus is Lord and God raised him from the dead then we will be saved.

Whoever puts their trust in God- Jew or Gentile- will be blessed by God.

This places on us the burden to proclaim the name of the Lord. People cannot believe in a gospel they have never heard.

Application
The gospel of the kingdom grows by being preached. There is no room for passive christians or undercover believers.

We have been saved by faith in Jesus and that faith comes by hearing the message of salvation.

If we truly love our neighbours as we love ourselves we will want to see them saved or at least in a position to choose salvation.

I cannot hide my light under a bushel and be obedient to Christ.

I must not be quiet about my faith.

Prayer
Lord help me to speak highly of you in all I do today. Show me who to speak to about you. Give me grace to do the work of evangelism. Amen.
