Politicians deceive
The media lie
Society is crashing
in a tsunami of self-centredness
Nobody obeys the Lord
Or walks the paths of justice

The Spirit of the Lord is on me
To preach good news
to the poor and beaten up
to bring healing to the distressed
freedom for the oppressed
For our God lives

People deny God's rule
But He's the King
They think they can mock
But they will worship.
A day of judgement is coming
A day of setting to right.

Get drunk at your office parties
Beat up your wife
Neglect your children
Enjoy your Bali holiday
Jesus- the reason for the season-
will restore justice
He will overturn
all your selfish ways.
